Your material
Clients keep ownership of their own website copy, branding, photographs, social-media material and other content supplied to Vericenta. Supplying material for review does not transfer ownership to Vericenta.
Vericenta material
Vericenta retains its rights in the Vericenta name and branding, software, review methodology, templates, report layout, taxonomies, internal prompts/workflows, guidance structure and general know-how. Copyright protection in original qualifying work arises automatically under UK law.
Using your report
Once the applicable fee is paid, the named client receives a non-exclusive, ongoing licence to use the issued report for its own business purposes, including sharing it with employees, professional advisers, insurers, regulators and contractors who reasonably need it for the client's business.
The client may use suggested replacement wording in its own website, advertising and social content. Vericenta does not claim that machine-assisted wording is capable of exclusive copyright protection in every case.
Annual report client editions
Where a client earns access to a full annual Healthcare Website Standards Report client edition, that edition is licensed for the named client's own business use. It may be shared with employees, professional advisers, insurers, regulators and contractors who reasonably need it for that business purpose.
The full client edition must not be resold, republished publicly, uploaded for unrestricted public access, distributed as a competing report product or altered to imply that it is a bespoke review, certification, accreditation or regulatory approval of the client.
What is not permitted
- Reselling or licensing the report as a competing review product.
- Copying Vericenta's report template or methodology for a competing commercial service.
- Removing or altering wording so that the report falsely appears to be a certification, accreditation or regulatory approval.
- Using Vericenta's name, logo or report extract in marketing in a way that implies endorsement beyond the actual issued report.
Examples and benchmarking
Vericenta will not publish an identifiable client's confidential report as a case study without permission. Anonymised, aggregated information may be used for quality improvement or sector benchmarking only where the client and individuals cannot reasonably be identified from the published material.
