Cancellation and refunds

Vericenta provides services to businesses and professional organisations, not consumers. This policy explains our standard cancellation and refund approach and forms part of the Terms of service.

One-off Website Assurance Review

  • If you ask to cancel before substantive review work has started, we will normally refund the review fee in full.
  • Once substantive review work has started, we may deduct a reasonable amount for work already completed and any non-recoverable third-party cost that was necessary for your order, and refund any remaining balance.
  • Once the final report has been approved and issued, the one-off fee is not routinely refundable because the contracted review has been delivered.
  • If Vericenta cannot provide the contracted service, or the service is materially defective and cannot reasonably be corrected, we will provide the appropriate correction, re-performance, credit or refund according to the circumstances and any rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.

Ongoing Assurance

Ongoing Assurance is a rolling monthly service. You may cancel before the next billing date to prevent the next recurring charge. If a monthly payment has already been processed, the service continues until the end of that paid period and cancellation prevents the following renewal. We do not routinely make a pro-rata refund solely because you choose to cancel part-way through a paid month.

Review plus subscription ordered together

Where a Website Assurance Review and Ongoing Assurance are ordered together, the one-off review covers the initial review and month one. The first recurring monthly payment is due one month after the order date. Cancelling before that first renewal prevents the recurring charge but does not cancel or refund the initial Website Assurance Review that has already been carried out.

Additional Content Checker submissions

An additional paid Content Checker submission is not charged if it is withdrawn before substantive checking begins. Once substantive checking has started, the fee is treated in the same way as other professional work already commenced.

Access after cancellation

You can continue to use paid monitoring services until the end of the period already paid for. Afterwards, monitoring and new content checks stop, while a read-only client dashboard retains access to previously issued reports and billing records, subject to our data-retention policy. Cancellation does not automatically refund past payments; any refund request is assessed separately.

Annual report access

Ending a one-off review or cancelling Ongoing Assurance does not remove access to an annual Healthcare Website Standards Report edition that the client has already earned. Future editions are not included after entitlement has ended unless the client separately qualifies for them.

How to request cancellation

Sign in to your client dashboard, open Billing & plan, and choose Cancel Ongoing Assurance. Review the confirmation and complete cancellation in Stripe's secure billing portal. Stripe schedules cancellation for the end of your current paid period, so no further monthly renewal is taken. If you cannot access your account, contact hello@vericenta.com. We verify requests from authorised contacts before making manual changes or processing refunds.

Relationship with the Terms

This page summarises the standard policy. The accepted Terms of service and any agreed Enterprise quotation govern the contract if there is a conflict.
